Heal Cystic Acne

A week before that time of the month, and you notice a giant mountain on your chin. We have all experienced this at some point. I have found some natural ways to heal the inflamed acne and deal with the redness.

FOR INSTANT RELIEF:
1. Press ice on the inflamed area for up to 10 minutes.

2. Dab Visine on the acne. The same ingredient that banishes the red from your eye, does the same for the acne.

FOR LONG TERM RELIEF:
1. Consume plenty of Omega-3's. Fish oil, flaxseed oil, nuts ect. It is a known fact that omega 3 fats are good for the skin. They provide relief of internal inflammation and also act as an effective anti-inflammatory for acne. For breakouts that may be caused by hormones, evening primrose oil can be very effective in maintaining proper hormone levels. Consume Zinc and B3 or a B complex which also aid in healing acne from the inside out. B complex can help your body relax internally, which has benefits to the body and skin.

2. If you breakout around your hairline, be sure to pull back your hair with a cloth headband while you sleep . The oils in your hair can transfer to your skin, causing breakouts. Be sure to disinfect your cell phone. When you press it against your cheek on a regular basis, it can cause bacteria to spread onto the skin.

3. Cleanse the skin with a tea tree oil cleanser, which can be purchased at Trader Joes. Tea Tree is known for its inherent anti-bacterial affects on the skin.

4. Have your doctor prescribe you a strong form of Retin-A. It works by increasing the skins cell turnover and promoting the extrusion of the plugged material in the follicle. It also prevents the formation of new acne. While Retin-A is great for healing cystic acne, it is also highly effective for reducing fine lines and wrinkles, and increasing skin elasticity. It literally builds new collagen in the skin.

5. When the acne has become a scab, simply open a vitamin e capsules and place it on the scab. This will prevent scarring. Just a dab is plenty.

6. You can deal with post-acne marks by using a lightening gel such as Murad's post acne lightening gel with Hydroquinone (which fades post-acne spots and freckles,)
AHAs to exfoliate and restore clarity and tone, Licorice and Allantoin alleviate irritation and inflammation.
