Now here's an inspired and striking billboard to herald in the fifth season of the Emmy and Golden Globe winning 60's based drama Mad Men.
These minimalist ads are so compelling and arresting, they don't even need the name of the show to attract attention.
To regular viewers they immediately scream 'Mad Men' with the suited falling man imagery from the show's opening title sequence, alongside the black, white and red colour scheme and recognisable font for the series air date.
It really is a daring and dramatic campaign, but it stands to reason that a television series about a prestigious advertising agency would have some rather impressive ads themselves.
The giant billboard really does help give the creative maximum effect, as that's an awfully long way to fall.
As a bonus today, enjoy this more traditional season three billboard with the enigmatic 'Don Draper' looking down over Fountain Avenue at Highland Avenue on August 19, 2009.
If you're a fan of the show, be sure to check out the season four billboard for Mad Men too.
The standard size billboard was snapped along Sunset Boulevard at Crescent Heights Boulevard on January 17 and Pico Boulevard on January 25, whilst the super-sized version was captured on the side of the Andaz Hotel along Sunset Boulevard on January 20, 2012.
Imagine Daily Billboard's surprise when a second wave of teasers for the fifth season appeared on January 30, 2012.
According to these simple, but evocative copy ads, 'secrets, envy and adultery are back'. How cool would it be if there was a version simply saying 'Don Draper is back'.
These new billboards were snapped at ad sites along Sunset Boulevard and La Cienega Boulevard in West Hollywood, replacing the 'falling man' creative.
This ad campaign is certainly shaping up to be an early contender for the television category of Best Advertising Billboard Awards.
