The newest wave in technology for anti-aging was discovered by NASA. It is called LED light therapy. You can purchase the machine for close to $300, and it comes in a variety of colors to deal with a range of skin concerns. LED’s (Light Emitting Diodes) penetrate deep into the dermis layer of the skin, energizing the cells, stimulating collagen and elastin, giving the skin back its youthful look.
The colors represent the wave length of the light, which directly affects how deep the skin is penetrated. Different skin concerns demand various wave lengths. For instance, if you want to treat acne, you would choose the blue light. The wave length is the shortest and only penetrates the pores, acting as a bacteria zapper. For the signs of aging, you would choose the red light, which has the longest wave length. This light hits the dermis and increases collagen production.
